Prior to your branding session we will explore your brand’s identity, goals, and vision during an online (Google meets) Brand Strategy Session. Together we'll fill out a detailed shoot plan including focusing on what concepts we want to achieve, wardrobe and prop ideas, location options, etc. These sessions usually last 30-60 minutes depending on your package. 

Each concept we photograph is a distinct element of your brand’s narrative. These concepts illustrate different aspects of your professional life and personality. For example, we can create scenes featuring you podcasting, conducting one-on-one or online coaching sessions, meeting with clients, speaking on stage, working at your desk, or relaxing with a good book. Props and settings are carefully chosen to authentically represent these activities, ensuring that each image vividly communicates a part of your unique story.

Our in-studio sessions offer a variety of backdrops and props to create the perfect setting for your brand imagery. With multiple options available, we can tailor the environment to match your brand’s aesthetic. If you prefer a more personalized setting, we also offer on-location shoots for an additional fee starting at $175. This option allows us to capture you in your natural environment or any location that best represents your brand, adding an extra layer of authenticity to your photos. We serve businesses across the Salt Lake City Area, Utah County, Northern Utah Cities, and Park City. 

During your shoot, our team provides expert guidance on posing, wardrobe choices, and prop selection to ensure you look and feel your best. We help you strike natural and flattering poses that convey confidence, ensuring that every element aligns with your brand’s image and story.

After your shoot, you’ll have access to an online gallery of proof images. Proof images are the unedited images that are watermarked that we take during your session. You can review these proofs in a private online gallery and easily select your favorites for retouching, allowing you to choose the images that best represent your brand. The number of retouched images you will receive depends on your package. (See packages above) What's even more awesome is that you can request access to your Proof Library months or years after your session if you wish to purchase additional images. It's like having your own stock library! 

Depending on the package you select, you will receive a your choice of a specific number of fully retouched, high-resolution images. These professionally edited photos are ready to be used in your branding and marketing materials. If you want more images than what your package includes, don't worry. you can always purchase more, even months or years after your shoot!

Our clients receive high-resolution JPEG files. A typical file size would be around 10-20 MB with a resolution of around 4000x6000 at 300 dpi. You may request smaller sized files for easier uploading and sharing. (These sizes are estimates, as the actual file size can vary depending on the content of the image and cropping.)

Why don't we give the RAW files?

• Artistic Control: RAW files are the digital equivalent of a film negative. They contain all the unprocessed data captured by the camera, which requires editing to achieve the photographer's intended final look. By withholding RAW files, photographers retain control over the artistic direction and quality of the final images.

• Incomplete Product: RAW files are often seen as an unfinished product. They usually require professional editing to adjust colors, exposure, contrast, and other elements. Releasing RAW files may lead to inconsistent results if the client tries to edit them on their own, which could reflect poorly on the photographer's work.

• Brand Integrity: Photographers build their reputation on the consistency and quality of their work. If a client edits the RAW files in a way that doesn't align with the photographer's style, it could harm the photographer's brand if those images are shared publicly.

• File Size and Technical Complexity: RAW files are much larger than JPEGs or other processed formats, which can make them cumbersome to handle and store. They also require specific software to open and edit, which many clients might not have or know how to use.

• Copyright and Usage Rights: Per US Copyright Law, photographers maintain copyright over their images, and releasing RAW files can complicate this. Clients may misunderstand the usage rights or believe they have more rights to the images than originally agreed upon.

• Client Experience: By providing fully edited images rather than RAW files, photographers ensure that clients receive a polished product that meets the highest standards, enhancing the overall client experience.

The delivered images from your session come with a commercial use license, granting you the rights to use them across various platforms and marketing materials for your brand. Unlike a copyright, which remains with the photographer, this license allows you to legally utilize the photos for advertising, promotional activities, and other commercial purposes, ensuring you can fully leverage your brand imagery. 

Standard Industry Practice: It’s a standard practice in the photography industry for photographers to retain copyright while clients receive a license to use the images.

Usage License: When you hire a photographer, you typically receive a usage license that grants you specific rights to use the images in certain ways—such as for personal, commercial, or editorial purposes. The scope of this license include in our packages is outlined above.

Copyright Law: Copyright law automatically grants the creator (the photographer) ownership of the images they create. This is considered intellectual property, similar to how an author owns the rights to their book or a musician owns the rights to their song.

Purchasing Copyright: If you want full ownership of the images, including the copyright, you would need to negotiate and typically pay an additional fee to the photographer. This must be done prior to the shoot. This transfer of copyright would give you full control over the images, allowing you to use them in any way you see fit, including altering them or reselling them.

We prioritize efficient delivery for all of our clients. After your session, the proof gallery will typically be available within one business day. Once you’ve selected your final images, the retouching process takes approximately 1-3 business days. When the retouching is complete, you’ll receive a download link to access your high-quality images promptly.
