For over 30 years, my favorite part of being a photographer has been providing clients with an exceptional experience. My team and I guide you through every step, making it easy to achieve high-quality photography that elevates your brand.

With a degree in Art History from the University of Utah and a background in photography that includes time spent living in and touring Europe, I've had the opportunity to teach, assist top photographers, and manage galleries. In 2004, I launched Photoumbra Studios, which has since received national recognition, including features in Professional Photographer Magazine, named Best of Salt Lake City in 2025 for both Commercial & Portrait Photography and named 2023 Best of State in Commercial Photography for Utah.

While I value these accomplishments, my greatest pride is being a mom to a beautiful daughter and a wife to my husband of over 20 years.

My promise to my clients is that you will feel valued and be thrilled with your experience working with my team and I. Based in Herriman, UT, I offer both on-location and studio sessions by appointment. I look forward to creating impactful images together!

Hi, I’m Chiara, I’m 20 years old and recently moved back to Utah after spending 18 amazing months in London, England. Now based in Herriman, I’m pursuing a college degree while working as the Social Media Manager here at Photoumbra Studios.

I’m passionate about helping more people discover the incredible photography we create by crafting content that’s engaging, authentic, and full of heart. I especially love highlighting our awesome clients and the unique stories behind every shoot.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll usually find me reading a great book, playing guitar, or spending time outdoors. I’m excited to continue growing our online community and sharing the beauty and creativity of what we do here at Photoumbra!

I’ve always been drawn to business and branding. As a teenager, I helped my father send out mailers, sparking a passion for design and messaging. Over the years, I created marketing materials for medical professionals and political campaigns, fascinated by how images and words shape a brand’s identity.

Joining Photoumbra Studios in 2018 gave me firsthand experience in branding, from crafting copy to styling photoshoots. I saw how the right visuals and messaging help businesses connect with their ideal clients.

Service has always been central to my life. My husband and I supported city and church initiatives while raising our children, and as they grew into successful adults, our focus shifted. After nearly 20 years in Herriman, we moved to be closer to our kids and grandkids—we simply couldn’t stay away!

Recently, I've rejoined Monica and Photoumbra Studios to contribute with their social media outreach part time while pursing my podcast.
